Although most people don’t think of snow in New Mexico, we actually receive an annual snowfall of over 15 feet. With our summit elevation above 11,000 feet, and being the southernmost ski resort in the United States, Ski Apache is geographically positioned for the best warm-weather skiing in North America. We’re also conveniently located from major cities in both Texas and New Mexico, only 3 hours from Albuquerque and 2.5 hours from El Paso.

When is New Mexico’s Ski Season?

With over 300 days of sunshine annually, the best time to ski in New Mexico is, well, any time during the winter months. Ski Apache is typically open from late November to April every year. We boast the most bluebird days of any other ski resort.
