Dummy Gelunde Torchlight Parade with Fireworks Show

We invite all of our wonderful guests to come out and participate or spectate the most ridiculous show on snow. Our Dummy Gelunde completion is a family friendly fun event where guests build dummies and ramp them off of the giant ramp between Capitan and Chair 3! Dummies are judged on flight time, height, jump, creativity and more. After the dummy races people will have some time to relax and prepare for the annual torchlight parade and the best firework display on snow in the southwest.

The torchlight parade will kick off at dark just before the firework show and will feature Ski Patrol and other mountain volunteers carving their way down the face of Capitan with torches in each hand to the sound of an Apache Drum circle. We will then kick off an amazing firework display at 9,600 feet which will leave guests in awe from the resounding beauty and spectacle against a breath taking backdrop.
