Local Ruidoso band, "Bad Chili", rocks the mountain on opening day from 1:00 to 4:00 PM in the main lodge at Ski Apache.
Hard to define but easy to listen to ... Bad Chili offers up an eclectic blend of tantalizing sounds. The songlist includes some classics by Led Zeppelin, Van Morrison, Marshall Tucker Band, Bob Dylan and more ... Rock, Country, Jazz and Blues are mixed with a dash of original compositions to serve up a great afternoon of music. Bad Chili is Richard "Hot Pipes" Vidmer on rhythm/lead guitar, harp and lead vocals, Mickey "Maestro" Cochran on acoustic guitar, mandolin, banjo and dobro, Chuck "Guitar Boy" Duncan on lead and rhythm electric and acoustic guitar and Bob "Big Bottom" Moroney on five-string bass.
