Ride the Gondolas!
Travel to heights few ever see on the Ski Apache Gondola. Ruidoso summer visitors can now travel through the clouds to 11,500 feet in the comfort and security of a fully enclosed gondola car. Adult tickets are $15.00 and Children priced at $10.00. View the surrounding country from Southern New Mexico's highest vantage point or plan your next series of ski runs this winter.

Enjoy the Mountain Grill!
Lunch just plain tastes better at 10,000 feet and above. Maybe it's the abundant fresh air or the expansive panoramic views ... or maybe just a solid appetite from a vigorous hike. Which ever may stimulate your hunger ... the outdoor mountain view Deck Grill can satisfy! Watch the elk and deer grazing the alpine meadows as you stop and enjoy your mid-day meal.

Play Frisbee Disk Golf!
Here's a great family activity to enjoy at Ski Apache summertime. The base of the Ski Resort now has its own 18 hole Frisbee Golf course and ready for your group to challenge this fun golf game in the clouds! Don't miss "Capitan" the course's signature 18th hole!

Hike the Trails
A number of hiking trails crisscross the Ski Area and the surrounding forest. One of the best begins at the trail head located adjacent the parking lot entrance. The trail head sits at 9600 feet in elevation and allows hikers to ascend to 11,500 feet to the top of Lookout Mountain where incredible 360-degree vistas await. The hike takes the Ruidoso visitor through mixed conifer forest and above the timberline!

Bring your Camera!
Nature photography opportunities abound for amateurs and professionals alike. Ski Apache in summer provides shutterbugs of all ages some great subjects including: beautiful landscapes, wildlife and wildflowers and of course your new insertions for the family photo album.
